Guylaine Lamoureux has worked as a teacher of piano, keyboard, and flute in the Ottawa region since 1986. During that time she has conducted and accompanied school choirs and ensembles, and maintained a large private studio. In addition to her teaching, Guylaine has many years of experience as a performer, most notably as a church organist and flautist, and as a singer.
James O'Farrell has been working as a professional musician and teacher since 1990. During that time he has performed extensively both as a jazz saxophonist and classical singer (tenor). His performance credits as a saxophonist include the Ottawa International Jazz Festival ( 1996, 1997, 1998), regular appearances at Vineyards (1995-2001), and more recently at Cafe Nostalgica with his long time collaborator, pianist Yves Laroche. As a singer James has performed with Opera Lyra Ottawa (1997-2001) both as a chorus member and singing small roles. In December 2000, James performed the role of Don Ramiro (Prince Charming) from Rossini's Cinderella with Opera Lyra's Young Artist Program. This led to many concert engagements with groups such as the Blackburn Chorus ( Schubert Mass 2002, Handel Messiah 2004) and the Kanata Symphony Orchestra (Mozart Requiem 2001). In April 2003 James sang the role of Cavaradossi from Puccini's Tosca in concert with Calyx Concerts of Toronto. He continues to perform regularly in the Ottawa region, including the Opera in Piazza series for the Ottawa Italian Festival .
